Exciting!! Exciting!!

Hi Everyone!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I had a great time with friends and a great makeup experience. Read below because there is some exciting news I have to share as well!

First I want to share with you the experience I had at the Makeup Forever Pro Road Show. It was at a Downtown Atlanta hotel, this past Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I was only able to catch the show Saturday evening.  They had the entire product line on display! Talk about being tempted. I played with lots of great products, like foundations, eye shadows, liners, contour collections and lipsticks. I couldn't leave without getting something.  I decided to be practical and get something that I could put to good use for my makeup kit.

I got the Flash Color Case. This has 12 colors, including the 3 primary colors (red, yellow, and blue), black, white, and 7 additional colors. It is a great item to have for a professional artist and the makeup enthusiast.  This is an all creme product, so you can apply it just like you would cream makeup. Think of the possibilities.... custom blended colors.... cream eye shadows, cream blush, lipstick, concealer, cream foundation, the list can go on and on. This case will be a wonderful addition to my kit because most of my face products are in the neutral tone - so I can make things more olive (yellow undertone) or rose (red undertone) with the use of this kit. I rounded off my purchase with 2 mixing palettes and 2 steel palettes to add to my kit.

Now for my exciting news! I am proud to share that I am the official Makeup Artist for Melissa Cales Photography & Design! What does that mean, you might ask, LOL. I will be the lead makeup artist for all of the needs for Melissa's portrait, modelling, and headshot photography.  We both think it will be the beginning of a beautiful professional relationship. We worked together a couple of months ago and created something special. If you want to see some of those pictures click here. Don't worry, as our projects come up, I will be sure to share them on the blog.

Have a great night,

~Kari
